Californya-ya-ya is nice to the homeless

When we last blogged many days ago, Brad and Kirby were in San Diego, so let's pick up the story there. I got a haircut and then we went to a hippie colony... I mean farmers market. Needless to say there were many people who smelled bad. Also there were many homeless people. The weather is really nice, so I guess if I had to be homeless, San Diego is the place I'd want to be. There are also a lot of surfers. Do the surfers and hippies raise the homeless population?

We were searching for Hodad's, one of America's top five hamburger joints in America according to the Travel Channel. The burgers lived up to their billing. Brad's beer, not so much. I believe it was imported from Schlitterbahn. You have to drink-a the pee. Also, he was sporting his new shirt.

We went in search of more homeless people, so we played minigolf. How many homeless people can fit in a shoe?
This was the king of the homeless. He had a bike and some sort of train connected to it.
We drove by Petco Park on our way out of town.
We headed to Los Angeles. There are a lot of motorcycles. Apparently if you ride in groups of two, you can travel in the carpool lane. We also saw a gang of motorcycles that had a lady on the back that wasn't wearing pants.
We also found a Blimpie.

Our hotel was the Airport Hilton. It was very different from our last hotel which used to be a bank and office buildings. The most important feature was the return of the jet engine toilet.
We headed out to the Santa Monica Pier. It has many pier features, such as ferris wheels and guitar hero.

Then we went to Hollywood. I've been to Disney's MGM Studios/Hollywood Studios so much that I can't remember if I'd been to the real place before. The main difference was this one was dirtier and we saw a homeless guy arguing with his shadow. We took a picture of the Hollywood Sign.

We also took pictures of all the big stars. Rathbone!

The cast of Harry Potter
Brad and the L. Ron Hubbard Lady Pirate
This is the crowd around the Michael Jackson Star.
This is Brad waiting while I take a picture of the crowd around the Michael Jackson star. That girl jumped out ofa car to go see the Michael Jackson star.
Who's in this picture? Lloyd Bacon. Sounds good!
Take it or leave it? We've got Al Jolson here! Al Jolson!
Brad and I hit up Mel's Diner, where the stars often visit and we were treated to a sighting of Hollywood Royalty, Female Asian Michael Jackson Impersonator. We were so awestuck that we forgot to take a picture, but trust me it was quite breathtaking. Here's a picture of me texting Jodye at Ihop instead.
The next day was supposed to be full of Mickeys, both the mouse and D variety. I expected McDonalds breakfast, but the GPS led us astray so we went to Burger King where brad wanted to try one of their new breakfast bowls. What to my wandering eyes would appear, but an Enormous Omelete Sandwich. I thpought they'd been discontinued. None the less, they stopped serving Breakfast at 11:24. We went to Ihop for Minion Berry Pancakes. M-E-H. So we went to Disney's California Adventure, which is a fantastic park. Here are some army drummers from Toy Story.
Brad and I rode the roller coaster which is pretty tame. The best part of the day was when we were waiting in line for the ferris wheel and some guy threw up on the ride. Yeah. He threw up on the ferris wheel. Not the roller coaster. The ferris wheel.
Those three guys had really pointy hair. Also I'm texting Jodye.
We have a wieeeeeeeeener!
This backdrop made Brad dizzy and really freaked him out.
We went to Disneyland next door where we saw a bunch of mountains and whales.

We rode space mountain at the end of the night. When we got in line, one kid ran in front of us and then proceeded to let his entire neighborhood cut in line. They later had a dance party in the middle of the line. We also met some guy whose sister had dated Boo Jackson. Brad was so excited that his lips wouldnt close.
Our phones got wet.
Turkey leg on the Matterhorn.

On the way home we hit Mickey D's to make our day of Mickey's Complete. We hit the road to Standford where we saw mountains and whales, I mean elephant seals.

We took route 1 which goes up the coast. It's reall narrow and windy. Brad got blisters on his hands from turning the steering wheel so much.

The view is awesome. There is really only one place to get gas in the middle, so they charge whatever they want.

We finally arrived in Stanford and found a few odd things.

Let's protect our trees by wrapping more wood around it.

That brings us to BRAD'S HOOK-UP OF THE NIGHT! It's Tom McGreevy! He took us both home with him, so we didn't even have to get a room! What a swell guy!
Tomorrow, we are off to discover San Francisco. I hear it's pride week. Oh Joy!

  1. Pride week and Brad blogging about it? Lethal combination.

I think I laughed second hardest in the blog about the "here's a picture of me texting Jodye instead."

My favorite in this blog was the picture of the whale followed by the picture of Kirby mimicking it... Also I thought the girl in the picture after that was going to be Brad's HOTN... bummer.

  2. Im blog famous thanks to Brad snapping a picture every time Kirby texts me... I think he has plans to make a scrap book with them. lol

I was sure that the HOTN would be the beached seals since Brad fluctuates between animals, woman and men.... quite confused that Bradely!

    Hilarious Blog.
